Q: The band and orchestra directors at my high school want to purchase copies of Your Music Librarian. Since I purchased a copy for the chorus, can they get a discount?

Q: I already have a spreadsheet with my library data. Will I have to enter it all again?
A:
No! Your Music Librarian can load
information from a Microsoft Excel
spreadsheet. Templates are supplied for
Library, Other Items, and Roster
information. Simply move your current
data into the appropriate template, and
Your Music Librarian will do the rest!
Q: Can the information in Your Music Librarian be customized?
A: Your Music Librarian is
sold in separate versions for Band,
Choir, or Orchestra. Each comes with
default settings specific to the musical
group. For example: the choir
configuration includes "voices" while
band or orchestra configurations include
"instruments." Within each of these
program configurations there are
additional fields in the Library,
Performance, Accessory, Instrument,
Uniform and Roster tables that allow you
to customize the program to fit your
particular needs.
Q: Can I write additional reports?
A: Yes. Using additional software such as Microsoft Access persons familiar with databases can create additional reports using the data in Your Music Librarian. (Refer to the Help screens in the program for more information.)
Q: I am computer illiterate. Can I use this program, too?
A: Yes! Your Music Librarian was created to be as user-friendly as possible. Help is available at all times within the program. If you have a problem that you can't solve using the built-in Help system, you can e-mail us at
UserHelp@YourMusicLibrarian.com for additional support.
Q: Can I
install the program on our local network?
A: Your Music Librarian will work on a network running Microsoft
network operating system. Any network that supports Microsoft products should be compatible with Your Music Librarian. There are instructions in the program's Help system to aid in the installation process.
Q: My choral group includes an instrument ensemble. Can I include that information as well?
A: Within the choral version of Your Music Librarian, you can specify supporting instrumentation.
If you have a Band or Orchestra version,
you can specify voices, too.
Q: Does a user manual come with the program?
A: Your Music Librarian comes with a built-in Help system.
A printable version of the Help system
is also included.
Q: What if I am unhappy with the program?
